Chiari II malformation (CM-II), commonly known as Arnold-Chiari malformation, is a relatively common congenital malformation characterized by beaked midbrain, downward displacement of the tonsils, and cerebellar vermis, and spinal myelomeningocele. Chiari malformations affect females more often than males.
